Allergy and Asthma Care of St. Louis is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Chesterfield, MO
Privately-owned Allergy and Asthma practice is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis! The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The position offers flexibility and an opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We are unique and provide personal patient care, building relationships and trust with our patients.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations and diagnostic evaluation
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare providers
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as allergy testing, lab work and spirometry
- Administer and supervise allergy immunotherapy (allergy injections)
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations
- Provide patient education on health promotion, and prevention and management of allergic and atopic conditions
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with a multi-level team to provide compassionate care for pediatric and adult patients.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current certification and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri
- Prior clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred but not required
- Excellent clinical assessment and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Ability to build rapport with both pediatric and adult patients
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturday mornings and occasional later weekday hours (till 6 pm)
